Does anyone know wether anyone is planning on releasing a Region 2 version of Saikano?

I ask as watching the fansub on a friends computer is far from the perfect experience for a series as excellent as this one and my old DVD player and TV dont play R1...I also dislike importing things anyway.

You were wrong... Wink

It might also depend on which European country you're wanting it released in. As such, the UK doesn't appear to have it, although MVM could probably get the PAL masters from Madman if they were interested.

Not to sidetrack the topic here but ya gotta realize us North Americans (which probably make up over 80% of the ANN forum members) only think in terms of our own region or we don't think about regions at all. So the minority of us who are concerned with R2 disks, only think of Japanese disks and completely disregard the fact that most of Europe is also R2. It's unfortunate though that it's harder to find a DVD player that plays both PAL and NTSC than it is to find one that plays multiple regions.

SaiKano imo was not that good as I've heard it was (from members of this forum). It has something forced in it, if you can get me. The feelings don't appear to be real at all. I just finished it today and I am heavily disappointed. The character design (especially the faces) were almost crap too.

The japanese dub wasn't that good either imo... :/

It wasn't a bad anime overall, just mediocre. I would like a season 2 coming to fix it up tho. The concept was good, the materialization just sucked a bit.
