I've been reading this as its being released by Viz and I'm also keeping up with Funimation's stream of the anime which is far ahead Viz's release story wise so I've been curious how the manga a handles this part versus the anime which confused me at sometimes (I was never quite sure of what I was looking at when they showed the mountain falling down the waterfall.) As with most shounen the manga is way better paced and I can actually tell what's going on in the scenes. Volume 17 is a good volume, definitely pushes the over the top absolute absurdness of Toriko to new heights and I enjoyed every second of it.
