In the recently released film, "Be Cool" (starring John Travolta and Uma Thurman).
In scenes where Uma's character is sitting at her desk in her recording studio. You can see several Japanese mecha action figures behind her. They look like early style Transformers, or ? |

There seems to be several Mazinger incarnations aswell at atleast one Getter Robo, from my memory. I'd try to find out by taking screencaps and sending them to in-the-know friends but the problem is that the movie is such a piece of shit I don't want to do it.

Well, don't make a big fuss. Its just interesting that a US film director would use Japanese Anime toys as a prop in a film. Its cool that he would think it would look cool. At least they didn't put Samurai swords in the scene! (Kill Bill) I like Uma Thurmann, but without the tan. And I kept wondering if the film was "Get Shorty 2" or "Pulp Fiction 2". Maybe we need new movie stars! |
