I looked through a couple of lists but it seems as though I'm kind of picky in what I like. I've watched a ton of anime and I will list what I've liked best and what I've disliked. Sorry about the making another one of these I just feel out of options....

What I've liked:

Battle Angel Alita (Manga) This is just to give you a general idea of what I'm looking for in Anime. I would like to watch stuff here and again instead of read:) I like the deep and rich character development, the physicology, the fact that the main character was in danger (real danger) and the action was not the main part of the story arches.

Fullmetal Alchemist: The story, fanasty setting, great characters, action was also not the high point to every episode and music. I didn't care for the kidish humor though.

Gunslinger Girl: Great story, didn't drag, wonderful and deep characters, and the physicology behind it was something well done.

Ghost in the Shell 1 & 2 (Movies): Great animation, good story, and deep characters.

Blade of the Immortal (Manga): Good well developed characters, great action, and deep story.

Serial Experiments: Lain and Haibane Renmei (Pretty Simular as far as things I like) Great animation, good story, well done characters.

Wow I actually liked more anime then I thought lol. Oh well these are the ones that I don't care for too much ^-^

Nior: I feel as though I should like this since it's kind of up my alley but besides the first episode I didn't feel as though anything was being accomplished (as far as characters and story) in any of the other episodes that I watched (I watched up to number 5 I think)

Cowboy Bebop: Couldn't get into it either the humor or characters, I couldn't pin point what I really disliked about it.

Rurouni Kenshin: Never felt as though the main character was in real danger, story didn't appeal to me, characters were lacking being well rounded (just your typicial run of the mill cast), great opening song though !! (I love it on DDR)

P.S. I have not watched Texhnolyze yet I'm waiting to get it for my birthday Smile

Thank you for your time and hopefully you have some good animes for me to watch in the future.

You seem to like deep stories, as well as slightly psychological aspects as well.

So...

The Twelve Kingdoms - You don't get a better fantasy setting or better character development than in this tale. I will warn you now that the anime is not finished, as it meant to go up to 68 and it only reached 45. This was due to the fact that the animators needed more of the novels to be released. Plus, they needed to adapt the novels to make it so that Youko was featured as the main character. I'm not sure if the rest will be released; however, the way it is now is it contains the full story of Youko (up to episode 39), and a 6 episode story about King En. It's a must-watch in my book.

Neon Genesis Evangelion - This one delves more into the psyche. It's a mecha anime at first glance, but you will realize once you finished it that what you actually watched was the psycho-analysis of the main character(s). (It is subjective really, some think you only ever see Shinji's development.. I disagree.)

So, give those a try. I think you will like them.

P.S. - I couldn't tell you're gender from your post (not meant in a bad way), but "ja ne" is technically a feminine way of saying "ja mata" or just "ja." Bleh, I hate using romanizations.
