NEWS: Anime Central to Host Lain's Yoshitoshi ABe in Illinois

Nitpick: it's weird to me how these Anime Central-related headlines on ANN often say "Illinois" instead of "Chicago-area" or the locally-preferred "Chicagoland". Illinois covers a lot of ground, so these headlines are a lot less useful and precise than they could be.

I know, technically Rosemont isn't in Chicago proper, but it's well within the Chicago metro area, closer to the city than many suburbs. To put a T on it, it's basically the east side of O'Hare International Airport.

he's a great illustrator and his best work is definetly serial experiments lain.

To anyone from elsewhere, though, Illinois = Chicago. Just like a con listed as "in Minnesota" (which covers more ground than IL) would probably not make you think "what's the easiest way to get to Mankato or Bemidji?" A con in Cali would need a city name, since there's many cities big enough to hold one of national interest. IL and MN have default locations. Wink
