Beautiful. However, I want to point out that even though a person can be gone missing for so many years, they aren't necessarily dead. That is, he could still be alive somewhere in the world but decided to have a simpler life and is living with the ethnic natives of a foreign country that puts him under the radar.

I think according to law, missing people will be declared dead after missing for seven years. Of course there's a good chance that the person is still alive and well (and of course hopefully so).

This is really nice. Stories like these invoke certain feelings of sadness, but at that same time hope. Really touching story.
