Am I Missing Something?

I just got finished with Tenjho Tenge I think. Watched round 8 and there was no ending, just Aya or someone spewing some cheap sappy philosophy. Is that it? Does the OVA actually finish everything? I am sick of decent to great anime having crappy endings (Beserk, NGE, Rurouni Kenshin series, the above stated not that it was that great of an anime) Can someone please warn me if there are some others out there that just let you down.

The Tenjou Tenge TV series is notorious for ending too early and in the middle of nowhere (and consequently, having flashback comprise nearly half the series). The manga, which the Tenjou Tenge is based upon, continues much further than where the TV series left off, so if you want to see much more of Nagi and friends, you can check that out.

With anime series adapted from an existing source material, having an inconclusive ending which resolves absolutely nothing is not uncommon, and is done because manga (or any other source material) usually runs quite long, and an anime series usually has a fixed episode count decided before the series airs, and cannot realistically animate the whole source material, especially when the source material has not even ended itself. Therefore, it's up to the producers of the adapted anime series to conclude the series properly which often constitutes inventing an original ending. In Tenjou Tenge's case, the producers didn't seem to do a great job at all in trying to conclude the series, resulting in an awful cliffhanger ending.

Far from it. Hell, spoiler[the whole OVA consists of Nagi training for the upcoming tournament, and the tournament part isn't even animated yet.] There might be more OVAs in the future, but I wouldn't expect them to be conclusive.

Thanks, but there is only one problem. I never learned how to read. Actually I just prefer anime over the manga. Plus when I get done reading text all day for college the only reading I want to do is some subtitles and sometimes that is hard.
