Kind of nice to see Yamato win this over Expelled From Paradise. I loved this movie but found Expelled from Paradise just kind of mediocre. It feels like EFP has been winning its awards primarily for SFX, the Angela design and token tribute to the popular Gen Urobuchi more than anything

Yeah, Yamato beat some heavy competition! Hopefully this is one more step to someone going "Yeah, we need to do Yamato 2201"
