I am still not fully convinced by the 3 movies strategy, but things are looking very sweet and cool.

Hell yeah! That was such a great trailer. Just loved the art direction and style. Particularly while Arararagi was running. Super intense.

i think its a good idea. Oishi is obsessed with nitty gritty's and Isin may be adding to scripts. I have full confidence in Shaft with this. Of course the Money is a big factor, but NisiOisin is massive in Japan, i don't think they'd mess up the most anticipated of adaptations he's involved in.

I always thought it was one author, the way you've described it makes it sound like a collaborative project for all the books written thus far.
3 movies?! The novel is long but if the animators are thinking of going down the Kara no Kyoukai route for presentation then it's worth the risk if they pull it off.

Saw this when they showed it during the Monogatari Talk Stage event at the Madogatari exhibition and the room was totally silent in awe.
I can't wait for this! Kamiya sounds amazing as Araragi, as usual. I don't know how to express it without sounding weird, but I love his screams. Those painful screams always send shivers down my spine. Like, you can tell how talented an actor/actress is by the way they scream and portray other extreme emotions. Pain and anger are among my favorites to hear.

Nisio Isin is the author. Tatsuya Oishi is the director of the movie.

Isin wrote the books but another guy is on the movies scripts, hence the "adding" part

Misread the director's name for part of Nisio Ishin's own name. Oops.
I expect the whole trilogy to finish its cinema run around Summer 2016.

Wow. That PV....
So awesome and thrilling. I hope they keep the entire movie that level of quality.

Maybe even winter. I think they are gonna get this done and then have ZokuOwari as a movie also instead of a 4-5 episode series and leave the Kizu/Bake staff handle it.

So, Monogatari has had a TV series, OVAs, I think ONAs, and now movies. Certainly not the most consistent thing ever.
