It gets harder and harder everyday to say "I like sonic the hedgehog" un-ironically.

I still don't understand why this has to be one of those hybrid things, but even if it was fully animated I probably would still think this is nothing but setting up a giant bullseye for this series. Lord knows it hasn't already been stompt 20 feet into the dirt.

Aren't those hybrid films supposed to be a thing of the past? I remember that style in too many crappy kids movies of the 90's, but if someone has a good example of this that I don't know of please inform me.

This is a good example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtCtQpclpY8
It's approved by SEGA and it even features Jaalel White as Sonic.

Eh, I'll give it a try. I mean it could easily be as horrendous and laughable like Sonic '06 but you never know.... right?

If I have this bad omen that this new live-action film of Sonic won't fare so well... The 3D computer graphic images of animated characters tend to be hit-or-miss.

I'm not saying this will necessarily be bad. However...
-Modern Sonic
-Movie adaptations of games
-Live-action/CGI hybrids
This is the holy trinity of things that are terrible. I mean, imagine if you will the following scenario: Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, Street Fighter: Legend of Chun Li, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel...except they're all one thing. That's the precedent we're dealing with here. So yes, this might just be the worst thing humanity ever creates.

On the bright side, they could easily do an adaption of Sonic Adventure/2 and it would work fine as a 3D/Live hybrid.

On the downside, they probably won't, and Eggman's probably gonna be a live actor so...
