While sort of cool, its not as cool as the Evangelion Optimus Prime, which coincidentally is getting a KO Upscaled version.

Oh wait, wrong forum.

There's a litte mistake in the article. The EVA Shinkansen operates on the Sanyo Shinkansen line between Hakata and Shin-Osaka.

In case someone wants to visit the exhibit/take the train:
The train operates twice a day as KODAMA service. The KODAMA service is actually the cheapest/slowest of all Shinkansen services. If you have a JR Rail Pass, you don't have to buy an extra ticket (but I recommend to get a seat reservation 1 or 2 days in advance).
The train stops at every station between Hakata and Shin-Osaka (18 stops), so there is plenty of time.

That's not a rectangular-shaped train! Smile

Enjoy your monotone and depressing ride inside this train.

Thank you for the information! Going to Japan later this month and going to Osaka anyways, so hopefully I can hitch a ride on here Smile

While the train ride itself might be a being on the sleepy side, the new visual does look fantastic with the Eva crew wearing urban-themed outfits. Smile
