I'm surprised it's up from 2014 since they didn't have any main game releases this year. I guess the other merchandise is just selling better.

Despite the fact that many people are disappointed with the current stage of Pokémon go beta, that game alone and the live action movie which will certainly be cringy even if not completely bad, will make Nintendo and Pokémon grow ridiculously. They have nicely set to the anniversary and I can see even my grandchildren still knowing what Pokémon is

I'm guessing the Pokemon company borrowed Nintendo's money printers because Nintendo doesn't need them right now.

The side games and the trading cards were definitely big helps in the revenue increase.

Sounds like I should get back into the Pokémon TCG. It became uninteresting to me around Generation V because I couldn't make weird, creative decks like I used to. |

Repeat the same game mechanics every year and still get paid. Got dang it I love Pokemon.

Many people would feel "it's not Pokémon anymore" if any of its primary mechanics were changed drastically.  But I wouldn't mind a slight change every now and then.
