I've been waiting for the OVA's since it was announced and thought it got/will get low key cancelled.

Thinking the same, had hopes for this but every day that passes the chances of those OVAs goes down, since its getting farther and farther away from when the anime originally aired, the OVAs wouldn't fare commercially as good as if they were hot off the trail of it. Though I have seen exceptions.
My guess is whatever footage was produced for the OVAs before they were cancelled is whats being released now.?

Oh yeah there is an OVA for Build fighters I thought it was pretty fun for what it was.
