I hope what I'm about to ask doesn't sound ridiculous but....would anyone say or even agree that Anime Expo is the Comic-Con for anime fans?

'Cause I don't know if there are other conventions that are much bigger to house things of Japanese popular culture.

For America? Yes. They are the biggest convention and get the best guests hands down. It's like this every year, right down to the posts expressing immense jealousy towards everyone who is going.

Seriously, I think they are overdoing with the guest announcements. However, if they had 194 guest like Phoenix Comic Con '16 had, the security issues would be a lot worse. Also, I would rather do these security checks at a con or interview then with the TSA.
