I'm surprised and pleased with what they have been doing with the Pacific Rim cast, choosing culturally diverse actors who aren't super popular in the US. I suppose this an example of hollywood trying to appeal to wider audiences (like China) that someone said in another forum.

The Pacific Rim movies are probably the closest we'll ever get to anything resembling live-action Evangelion movies. Sad
