This is such an interesting interview!

I definitely agree with this statement. I've been noticing for a while that plenty of anime series, such as Puzzle & Dragons X, are taking place in fictitious, often Western-inspired, fantasy universes. Even the currency and onscreen text in those fantasy universes are made up for the sake of convenience for international dubbing companies.

The Las Vegas theme was definitely an apparent inspiration for this film.
I always knew the movies had a higher amount of key animation cuts, but 76,000 is astounding.
Sato's character style is matches closely to Oda's. He should always be the head character designer for the future films.
