anyway I wonder what was so particularly interesting about this story that let it be chosen over countless others? |

Exact thoughts. Before you know it we're going to get an OVA about this. Does that mean my Soul Eater smut has a chance to get a Drama CD? In all seriousness though- this implies that enough people in Japan liked the fanfic, a fanfic from America no less, that it prompted this treatment. They even got the right Seiyuus for it! I would have expected it if it was based off something on Pixiv, but not Fanfiction.net. |

My question is, if this was originally based on an English fanfic, did someone actually translate it into Japanese and it took off from there? I can see a Japanese NaruSasuke fanfic taking off and garnering it's own drama CD, but for a story that was originally written in English? That's the part that boggles my mind.
