The CGI and the special effects looks cheesy to me....and I'm completely fine with that because I love how the actors are representing their characters and given by the goofy nature of the series, everything seems fitting in my eyes.

CG Sadaharu is scary as hell. But Kondo covered in honey is still hilarious. I wonder how much mayonnaise they went through in the making of this movie.

The background is really cartoony and light - I'm assuming they knew this wouldn't adapt when, so they purposefully tried to have it not take itself so seriously. I think that's an okay approach. This might actually be okay.
