I am very curious about this show. I would like for Sentai to license it and stream it on HIDIVE.

Wait, is this anime going to be a sequel to the previous movie? Because otherwise I don't know how they could possibly fit in 26 volumes of content into 12 episodes, especially because that key visual hints that they'll at least get to the timeskip.

I'm pretty sure there've been character visuals with the Chopin competition competitors like Pang Wei and even pianists that have been choosen for the main ones. Though the summaries ANN puts on all Piano no Mori articles suggest they're going to adapt the childhood events like the movie. But that may be a plot summary for the manga and not the official anime summary.
In short, we'll just have to see.
