I’ve been wanting to watch this forever, so it’s great to finally see it picked back up. I can’t wait!

Now let's see those prices for the ADV DVDs of Volume 11 and 12 finally start to drop! Smile

This will probably be Bluray only, so it will be interesting to see how much those prices drop.

Back when I was first getting into anime, Bandai was re-releasing a wave of old, cheap glue-together Dunbine kits, so a large part of my early experiments in learning how to put together and paint gunpla resulted in some truly ugly-looking aura battlers.

Anyway, I feel much better about not hunting down those ADV releases.

At long last! This is certainly one prospective license that was 'bining' it's time...

Hopefully with new subs.

The ADV subs that the series originally had are awful.

Wow! Hopefully it won't cost $800!

I was honestly kind of expecting this to be a Discotek sort of thing, but, whatever! I do hope they go the SDBD route either way though, Discotek has clearly shown that it keeps costs super low while doing its best on picture quality for old series.

Perhaps they shall bundle it with the related series and instant anime classic Garzey's Wing? Gotta get that on bluray someday, right?

Still, I'm rather conflicted about buying it, or anything from Sentai now, after the LoGH thing. Hard to support them with a decision like that. Unless they announce a standard version, then I'll be ok. I'd honestly have just rather never had it licensed if I knew the heartbreak was going to come to this.

Very likely, NTYMI. Although of course, from the 80's, when everything still had to be battle-mecha, even when it was isekai.

If it was Discotek, maybe, but if it's the Sentai Company Formerly Known As ADV, they'll probably use what they have, unless the outcry was particularly bad the last time the ADV series came out.

(And even then, it was considered a rare lost-80's find unearthed from King Tut's tomb--
I feel old for remembering when Cham Fau was one of the Cute Anime Girls every new fan recognized.)

The Blu-rays came out in Japan fairly recently - over a year ago by now, I believe - and I was hoping maybe that'd boost the chances we'd get it back over here, and I'm glad to see it happened. This show really is quite something, and all these years later it seems there's a lot more people who are up for it (which is the case for a lot of old anime, really), so that's great.

Since Xabungle and Ideon are streaming on Hidive, I have my hopes up we'll get releases for those too, although only Ideon has Blu-rays so far I believe (c'mon, let's get Blue Gale on Blu-ray already!!). L-Gaim had its short run on Daisuki, so maybe that'll turn up at some point again, somewhere.

The LoGH pricing is certainly an aberration, but at least it and Dunbine will be getting home video releases. After what happened with Urashiman, I had thought Sentai were on shaky ground with regards actually releasing classic anime on home video.

I hope they release the Blu-ray version over here. I already have all of the ADV DVD singles that were released all those years ago. I also imported the 4 disc sound collection that was released a few years back.

I hope we get the remaining three post Gundam Tomino show's over here at some point. I would really like them for my collection.

I think I read once that it actually was.
