I find it hard to be critical of Acro given that everyone in the Ace Attorney games is a caricature turned up to 10. Similar to Street Fighter, everyone is boiled down to base elements and then cranked up and distilled more for simplicity.

Same with the Wheelchair phrasing, it's not entirely false, or even that offensive. He feels trapped to his wheelchair so the game/anime refers to it the way he views it.

^I really did think long and hard about the wheelchair phrasing, and in the end decided to bring it up because for people I know it is offensive - for them, it implies that their lives are inferior because of their physical disabilities, when instead they're just different. It's something I've been thinking about and looking into a lot, because my dad has Parkinson's Disease and some sort of mobility device is probably in his future, and even though it seems like just a phrase, I don't want him to feel "bound."

I enjoyed the second half of the show more than the first. I was particularly impressed with how they handled the circus case. That's one of the most hated cases on the game, but they streamlined it to the point where it's much more enjoyable.

The animation and storyboarding is definitely lacking, but how much the show has improved over time makes me cautiously optimistic for season 2.
