I picked up the first novel of Alicization ahead of time because I wanted to get accustomed to the light novels in general before this next iteration starts airing. And I was genuinely surprised with how fresh the world building and new characters are in this new portion of the story. I think it’s going to be the arc that makes people think differently about Sword Art overall. Besides, as the interviewer said, every one who has read in ahead tells me it’s the best part of the entire series.

Never say "why read"; reading is GOOD for your brain; the world would be a better place if people just READ more. D:<

On one hand I quite liked the beginning books of Alicization.

On the other, I hated book 4 to the point I dropped the series and stopped buying the LNs, so I'm still on the fence about watching the anime. For all that's different, Kawahara still retreated to some of his most annoying mistakes.

Easy solution.... just watch the anime until the point where you started finding it unreadable.
