I don't know anything about Muv Luv but I think it's an awesome idea and I hope they get lots of submissions.

Just as long as the other world isn't Byston Well. That's a mecha isekai we don't need to visit yet again.

Oh the juicy possibilities. This could be a swell opportunity for fans to tackle underappreciated locales, periods and cultures.

The spin-off should be the core characters from Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (where Muv-Luv sees roots) but it's Takayuki, not Takeru, waking up in the Kimi ga Nozmu Eien world and is like a strange cross between Muv-Luv mecha world building and Steins;Gate -style time travel. Takayuki just constantly travels around time in his mecha trying to prevent Haruka's accident but no matter where or when he travels to all roads lead to the accident.

Sorry; I just want Kimi ga Nozomu Eien to receive some recent love.

Hey, not to spoil anything, but have you played Alternative or looked elsewhere in the lore (maybe on the spoiler-ific Muv-Luv wiki)? Because the situations in the BETA-verse of the various Kiminozo characters have been pretty well accounted for in the material that's out there. There was even a fan club-only VN last year called Kimi ga Nozomu Muv-Luv which is all about spoiler[Takayuki and Takeru doing a body-swap], though it's obviously of highly questionable canonicity.

Also, that interview with Twinfinite does ask if there's any news about the previously-reported Kiminozo remake, but aNCHOR gave a stiff "no comment".

Not sure if i want another entry into the People Eating BETA series. Muv-Luv's manga was actually more readable to me than anime series. (shrugs) i like mangas better, less gore the better.
