Thank-you for being an irreplaceable part of my youth and one of the gateways for all of the anime I watch today. Rest in peace, Monkey Punch.

Frankly,
He created the core of one of the better, more durable anime brands I've watched over the years.
I can imagine there are anime fans in Japan just as shaken by this passing like there are people here any time a major figure from their childhood passes away.

Of course, Lupin really isn't for kids Wink but he's aged better than Bond.
