^ The small print during the Direct said it was free to download but that some features may require paid subscription.

I highly doubt it. Nintendo would miss a prime source of income that way. I just hope the service won’t be too expensive; I personally can’t see myself paying more than $50 a year for this service.

I don't see how they can justify charging anywhere near $50 when it only cost $20 for the Nintendo Switch Online service. I could see $50 if it included the expansion packs but that's about it.
