It is nice to see Atlus giving the Switch some support, but it would be nice if they could give some information regarding Shin Megami Tensei V, that game was one of the first they announced for the system back in 2017 and we still don't know much about it, aside from one teaser, or when it will be released.

Only 1 line was changed. They kept the other.. 100 or so other lines, plus the new ones they added about Rin which some people got upset over. |

Great to see this will be able to get in to more players hands. The original was great and I look forward to planning the new release at some point.
As for the more controversial parts of the game, from what I've seen they present a more realistic reaction from many of the characters involved. Not everyone is going to be as tolerant or accepting as some people would like and to depict it differently to avoid offending people feels disingenuous to me. Though having not played the game yet I don't know how it plays in context |

It’s funny. I always thought the inclusion of Erica was a very progressive decision for the game, and that her interactions with Vincent and co. allowed her to be “one of the guys” while maintaining her gender identity. Honestly, I think it was the controversial line that was changed that made me first realize she was trans in the first place. I didn’t think there was anything negative about her representation at all, so I was very surprised when this whole transphobic controversy came up.
Anyway, fantastic game and nothing quite like it. I always recommend any gamer who hasn’t played it give it a shot. |
