I really want it to be good but knowing what the director and Mila did to Resident Evil this movie will have nothing to do with MH aside from Rathalos and other iconic monsters.

Exactly. If you take a look at Detective Pikachu or Sonic the Hedgehog - which were respectively made by Warner Bros. and Paramount, the respective directors actually captured the essence of the franchises they tackled (especially Pokémon) with those films. Paul W.S. Anderson just wants something to cast his wife in due to the fact that she's an attractive woman, and his films have nothing to do with the games they're based on.
