There's No Freaking Way I'll be Your Lover! Unless... Glamorous, confident Mai Ouzuka is Renako's total opposite: wealthy, outgoing, and a literal fashion model. Against the odds, the two girls form an immediate connection. Renako thinks she may have found the best friend of her dreams…until Mai's romantic confession sends her into a tailspin. I think we have a winner in the Cute Girls Doing Cute Yuri genre. Just hope it is properly funded and staffed (still bitter over the problems animating Whisper Me a Love Song). |

Episode 2
Wow, they didn't waste any time: hot yuri kissing in the second episode. The only yuri show that I can think of that got to the kissing sooner was Sakura Trick, however that show was all kissing all the time. 
BTW, for people who may be interested in the show, but have not had a chance to check it out yet, while the first episode is still available, the subsequent episodes will only be viewable for one week following their release. Episode 2 is only viewable through this Sunday (July 20th). Also, new episodes debut on Mondays (not Tuesdays). |

CGDCT? What I saw was attempted sexual assault. I'm genuinely curious haw far the yuri fans are willing to go for their fix. If Mai actually had respect for Renako, this would be a much shorter series and I'm not sure there's anything Mai could do that would save her for me. She wore a dark bra under a see through top, ending up together like that on their Friend Date seems to be planned from the start. Did Mai break Renako's rules? Did she never plan to follow them? Honestly, if this was a man and a woman, at what point would it have crossed the line? "Mai, she said "No", down girl." And then Renako broke out the hair clip.... |

Arrrrr, avast ye swabs! I thought the point of the modern world was not to be tied to some schedule as with "linear TV"? Takes me back to the pre-VCR days...
We saw worse in Episode 1 of Anyway, I'm Falling in Love with You and no one objected "because that is part of the genre and what viewers want", so I have given up on trying to understand other people's squick. |

It kind of looked like something changed with Mai after hearing what Renako thinks a "best friend" is, and what she thinks a romantic relationship should be. Which I think was not wanting the stress of a romantic relationship needing to prove itself, which I think that Mai thinks lines up with what she wants from a romantic relationship.
