Kodansha Comics also announced that it will publish Takei's Shaman King manga series physically in 11 three-in-one omnibus editions that will launch between 2021-2022. The first two volumes will launch simultaneously in spring 2021.

This really should be the headline, if you expect people to read the article. The main series in print is way more requested than digital only spinoffs.

Or at least below the headline, the tweet on the main twitter account doesn't acknowledge it at all and considering the discussion on the other thread, it's a pretty bad look.

SERIOUSLY, thank you for this! I skimmed the article and was like, "Oh, neat. Guess they're testing the waters." I'm thrilled they'll be releasing SK in print! (I'm hesitent to get omnibuses only because the weight has hurt my hands while binge-reading in the past)

Considering Shaman King was kinda dead in the West before the announcement of the anime, it makes sense that the spin-offs are at the moment digital only.

Giving all the series physical prints would be a huge investment so it’s more practical to start out with printing the mainline physical with offering the rest on digital & then judging by the sales numbers whether it’s safe to physical print the rest of the spin-offs.
