Oh, wow. We truly lost a legend. Thanks for sharing with us all of your amazing work and helping to foster this industry we all love, Otsuka-sensei.

Oh man, we have lost one of the greatest anime artists ever! He was a mentor to both Takahata and Miyazaki and had a great influence on both of them, especially when it comes to portraying realism and technical designs such as cars, planes and tanks in Miyazaki's oeuvre.

Sorry to hear about this. I had a lot of respect for Yasuo Ohtsuka's work. RIP.

An OG in the truest sense of the word. Animation direction for Cagliostro alone should put him in any hall of fame. Thank you for helping to make this medium what it is today.
