So I'm guessing they're starting with adapting DMC3.

When it was announced, the key thing was that Shankar was getting the rights so they couldn’t make a LA movie. After that was silence. I’m presuming Powerhouse will be doing this as well.

Lady, Dante, and Vergil.

Yup, definitely looks like they're adapting DMC 3 to me. That's okay though considering it's the origin of Dante's whole business. Smile

Well sure if you overlook the fact that in 3 Devil May Cry had been established for some time whereas in DmC Dante decides to go into the demon hunting business after Mundus’s defeat causes the global illusion (don’t remember what it’s called) to reveal that demons are living amongst humans.

In other words 3’s story didn’t establish the origin of Devil May Cry it simply told the beginning vague as it was of Dante & Vergil’s rivalry. Which DmC also did better.

So they're going in chronological order then?

Makes sense... I also take it to mean that when they inevitably get around to adapting the first game that it will be radically rewritten. Maybe plots from other games will be woven in and out too. That's for the best!

Castlevania was awesome and I trust Shankar.

Is Powerhouse animating this? It seems like a logical conclusion, but I don't see them mentioned.

It'll be interesting to see if the games' voice cast will be back for this and also who voices Lady this time.

That’s my guess, mostly because they have a relationship with Shankar, and Shankar has been somewhat disparaging of CG studios.
