I have just finished watching volume 5 of Negima and I must say that I am enjoying the whole series a lot better than I thought I would. The cast of characters is extensive and extremely likable. I find myself genuinely caring about what happens to all of the girls. For example, spoiler[ I loved it when Nodaka finally expressed her love Negi, but at the same time felt bad for Yue, for even though she has some feelings for Negi she put them aside to help Nodaka express hers. ]
Also, episode 19 spoiler[ about the ghost, how she came to be one and her finally being seen and excepted by Class 2-A ] was extremely heartwarming. While watching Negima I began to think of it as Azumango Daioh but with magic. But the end of episode 22 left me with a very bad feeling. I just can't shake the thought that a sad or tragic event is going to happen and Negima is going to end on a terribly depressing note, which to me seems typical of most animes. I was going to search this sight and the internet for some information about what happens in Volume 6, but I am afraid I might find too many detailed spoilers. So, what I want to know is does Negima really turn depressing, or does it end happy. Spoilers are fine if needed to explain if something depressing does happen. |

I haven't seen it myself (I'm too big of a fan of the manga), but I believe spoiler[Asuna dies due to some sort of curse but is revived and all is well in the end]
