Still crazy how Sunrise exes folded for (more) money resulting in Taniguchi and Okouchi changing their original story of Code Geass Season 2 that started with Stage 26 "Eye of the Demon Emperor" for the late night audience and turning it into Turn 1 (A similar title to Season 1's to emphasize restart) and creating characters like Rolo for the 5pm audience. Then a few years later, series like Fate/Zero, for example, aired late at night, and was a success just like CG Season 1 was at the same late night time slot yet Sunrise exes never had the brains to ride this late night wave and allow Taniguchi and Okouchi to make the true Season 2 of CG. Shingeki no Kyojin was another late night anime that was successful. There were simply no negatives to doing this, but they wanted to focus on kids and casuals. The irony is that the current rebroadcast of CG Season 1 for the 15th anniversary is airing late at night. They could have easily made more money (because that's the goal, right?) by just doing the true Season 2. All they do is tease fans about episode 26 like with this Genesic Re;code event.
