Wait, why would Yako start up a new manga when they barely have much in the way of money? Wouldn't doing this just make things harder for them?

The impression I got from the previous news post is that a manga with the level of detail as Somari required many assistants. So it's likely that this new manga won't require as much detail and can be made with fewer or no assistants.
Looking at their Twitter, I wonder if the use of the word "destitute" was a poor translation. They might not have realized that it suggests financial ruin, rather than inability to establish a large enough studio.
