Watching a little bit of that episode that was embedded, I wonder if the show is motion capped? The animation really seems naturalistic but in the sense of someone performing actions in an exaggerated, if that makes sense? There seems to be too much random detail going on to be just be normally animated.
Also, watching the song video and thinking about how an actual pole dancer choreographed it and thus this must be actually doable by humans (in proper outfits of course) makes me respect pole dancers even more than I did before. The amount of core control they have to be able to hang off the pole without even holding it is insane...

What a performance by Sana. Looks like I got my answer. I know what to expect from the other characters now.

Pole dancing movements as with Idol dances, tend to be physically exaggerated, for artistic effect as well as being able to be seen clearly at audience distances much as with traditional theater. It was very likely MoCap but the CGI is quite well done so it doesn't have the "choppiness" of some other shows. And everything there is definitely do-able by young women, albeit with high strength/weight ratio. You see strength moves like holds as with acrobats being done with the legs because the average petite woman has much lower arm strength than in the legs. If a show could popularize pole dancing for Japanese girls, this should do the trick...

Very nice and Sana's voice is great. I wish they had a timeslot posted for this so I can put my concerns about this being for kids or not to rest.

Not the kind of cutesy theme I would ordinarily associate with pole dancing, but if it works it works!
