I hope they aren't all talk. Nelke has said they wanted to expand overseas to some extent for a long time, but nothing has come of it. Though I'm sure covid hasn't helped. Instead most of the 2.5D world been actively keeping us out by not allowing us to buy streams (and blocking VPNs) and tickets for performances. It was a miracle that Hunter x Hunter, MHA, and especially Mankai Stage opened up tickets for international fans.
Avex has been the only company to consistently provide streams for international fans (some with subs) with Fruits Basket, Dr. Stone, Yowamushi Pedal, Bungou Stray Dogs, Ouran High School and Paradox Live. We really want to give these productions money. |
