I enjoyed this show a lot for what it was, as someone who is borderline allergic to anime isekais in large part because of how they try to write meta jokes and characters being self aware (obviously this isn't just isekai but it's easier to find here and it's here where I really started to groan at it) I enjoyed the way Unlce here didn't grasp this stuff and his commitment to playing this like and old game with no story.
The bit with Alicia really tripped me up in a good way though because the show essentially had 0 serious plot beats that actually mattered to him but when it came up and was fairly well executed it really shocked me. I would love to see a season 2 with the same team since the end result came together so well, but given the obvious hell the production team went through I can believe and accept that many who worked on the show might not ever want to speak of or have anything to do with this ever again. Oh well, it what it is. |

I also enjoy this goofy show. Although, it did take me a few episodes to get used to it storytelling style. I also wouldn't recommend bringe watching. After two or three episodes, I kind of needed a break.
