May be, but it's still one of the early trendsetters in the genre, the webnovel started as early as in 2013, only 3 months after Mushoku Tensei's, and the light novel, while nowhere near as successful as Mushoku's, is still ongoing having reached 24 volumes and a decent over 1 million copies sold in Japan. So a copycat it is not. |
