Normally I question if the seemingly one note gimmick/premise will stay interesting long term with shows like this one. Thanks to the premiere I am not all that worried thankfully since Miss Vampire has some good things going for it. There is a charm to the whole thing for one and the mc is a bit of a surprise in that he can go from mouthless mob to joker at unexpected moments. The setting is also rather interesting with humans and the supernatural living together with a guardian deity watching over things.

Constantly snacking to cope with a never-satisfied appetite? Vampire-chan should really be plumping up with that approach.

The second episode surprised me. I was expecting Luna to very slowly become more open to being her real self and not worry that much about her vampire image. What we got is her taking a giant leap forward and going around meeting all kinds of new people. She still has progress to make but it is going way faster than I expected. Ootori also has some growing to do and his sometimes unfinished look fits with his mindset.

Yeah, where is the conflict now? I seems the premise they want to get it over with, and do some cute slice of life stuff the rest of the series.

I don't have any issues with a cute supernatural slice of life, this season is pretty light on that front. The episode did surprise me in that they took a slightly different direction than I expected.

For a school with many non human students they sure haven't worked things out all that well. Having a competition where several contestants can fly or are way faster/stronger than the others makes it a tad unfair. The school is also a bit wild club wise with one seemingly calling Cthulhu into reality.

The show has become one of the comfiest anime of the season. Episode 5 pleasantly surprised me in that Ootori did not become sick after the rain and that there was some focus on the side characters. Luna trying to suck blood from the neck seems like a surefire way to kill someone.

The show really has turned out to be more than just a simple gimmick. Reading the title you may think there is nothing but gags about sucking blood and they are there yet only make up a small part of the experience. The main part is Luna learning to enjoy life plus making friends and episode 8 was a pretty satisfying and charming result.

That was a very fluffy and wholesome slice of life show. A good pick for when you need an anime to just relax with.

I agree it was a fun show. Though I thought Alma-Chan Wants a Family was slightly better, but still can't go wrong either way.

And I am going to miss that ED song.

It was fine, though maybe not really better than fine. It's weird how little they used the setting. Some of the other students on the basketball team were clearly supernatural in some way, but it just never came up.
