Potions Will Save Me (TV) Source: Light Novel (ongoing @ 10 volumes, written by Akira Iwafune, illustrated by Sunaho Tobe) Demographic: Animation Studio: Imageworks Studio IMAGICA Infos Genres: adventure, fantasy Themes: demi-humans, elves, isekai, magical items, medieval, sorcery Plot Summary: Kaede, a normal high school girl, suddenly finds herself reincarnated into a fantasy world full of beastkin, elves, and dragons. She spends an entire day walking to try to find her way in this new world, and rummages through her bag, where she finds a mysterious book. As it turns out, the book allows her to craft potions simply by gathering the necessary materials and chanting "Create." Kaede then plans to use this power to navigate her way through her new world and return to Japan somehow. Air Date & Platform: October 02, 2025 (Thursday) Available on: Pending Episode Count / Runtime: Pending ------------------------- Irony: main character Kaede is played by seiyuu Kaede Hondo (Marie from Ms. Elf, Lammis from Vending Machine). And lead guy is Takeo Ohtsuka (Jinshi from Apothecary Diaries, Aqua from Oshi no Ko). That's a pretty great lineup! Although, I'm a bit worried with it being advertised as a "light anime," which apparently is supposed to cut costs, will probably make this look less than stellar, and is probably why no major platform has licensed it for distribution, yet. |

Seems like this will be a fine isekai snack for in between other shows. The animation is not exactly what you usually see and the premise is basic but I enjoyed it enough to want more. The episodes being 13 minutes long helps, I am of the opinion that there should be more short form anime.

Well, the production value is pretty bad (looks like flash animation). Wouldn't be surprised if a lot of this is A.I.-assisted, too. At least the episodes are short and to the point.

Yeah, it is not a looker, I find it entertaining enough to keep watching though. There is also a surprising amount of common sense not found in most isekai.

Potions will Save Me I Saved myself with a potion in another werld
Production quality aside, it is a cut fun and family friendly anime. But where do you stream it easily in the United States? It is not on Prime, Netflix, or YouTube here. We have been watching it on Daily Mothion with English subs. At least episodes 1, 2, and 3. But today Episode 4 is yet to be found. Can't believe thas something that shows up on the polling sites is so hard to find. Thanks in advance. |

It is not currently licensed by any North American distributor. The fact that you're watching it on Dailymotion means someone probably uploaded a pirated copy that also happens to have English subs. That's pretty much the only way, unless you pirate it yourself. |

Sometimes you sadly have a show like that, it can not be found anywhere due to it not being licensed. I remember a survival show a few seasons back that was nowhere to be found and I do mean nowhere (while the show looked pretty good).
Anyway, episode 4 has mention of a dragon and given the opening one seems to be appearing at some point. It also seems like the time for high potions is drawing near. |

The presentation is still very cheap/simple but I like Kaede building up her abilities and seeing/learning more of the world. The dragon from the opening was taken down a lot sooner than I expected and with high potions and elemental crystals now being things Kaede can produce she can rake the cash in. |

This is a very relaxing anime, with no mysteries (except for the premise) or serious danger that isn't solved in 3 min, or much thinking required about anything. The animation is sort of a step up from the style seen in Kagewani or Yamishibai, with more light and color. I like it.
It sure is handy that her potions appear already bottled and ready for distribution! Especially when she's making public bath-sized batches. |

It makes sense that a (seemingly) young girl who has a profitable business with a house in a remote area is at risk. That one mugger was taken care of (was he killed?) but a more permanent solution seems wise. Buying a slave does not make me happy though, slavery pops up in way too many isekai. |

I don't think she will buy one. She clearly has objections to it, even saying so out loud, which is rare for isekai. I expect her to find a different sort of ally to protect her (like the fairy helps her) or else discover something in the book she can use for protection.
Besides, wouldn't a slave have to live with her? We can't have that, unless it's a female warrior slave! I've found this to be the perfect series for this season's Thursdays, since it's the only one I'm watching that day the never irritates me or makes me roll my eyes at some point. It's a nice way to cap off the viewing day. |

Your post was a good preview for this week's episode Gina. Not only did Kaede buy a slave but it is in fact a female warrior slave with a troubled past (plus an appetite). The fairy was a usefull ally this week with fending of that mugger. I could question Keade suddenly buying a slave but I suppose nearly getting killed twice in a row makes one be less critical. |

I guess "stricter employment" needs some defining. Apparently, slaves are treated like free employees, except they can't just quit? What are the laws around that? Why couldn't she just hire someone like she wanted to? Would no one guard her for wages if they had a choice?
If Kaede needs a bodyguard because she's a girl, sending a maid to go check on her house seems almost as dangerous (unless she's a combat maid). I'm glad no one else can read the book, so no one can steal her business (though if they stole the book, it would almost amount to the same thing). |

Seems like they are not providing any additional answers as to what stricter employment actually means. I assume it refers to the employment contract and confidentiality but who knows. The maid is likely a combat maid, Rei is rich after all and the home of a rich/high rank adventurer needs some level of readiness. Episode 10 was mostly about showing off Cardeno's considerable skills, that last bit with Rei felt a bit off though. |

So the big final enemy of the season is going to be a slime of sorts. Assuming it is a 12 episode show that is. |
