I feel rather conflicted about the start of this one. Some of the jokes were okay but none of the three main characters appeal to me. Rinko is an utter doormat who accepts everything without complaint. That includes accepting the bonking on the wall and even going so far as to stop watching her anime. Haruma meanwhile is an agressive and spoiled man child who has no problem with kicking down walls and demanding to be fed. He might pay for it but that only makes it a tiny bit less bad. Finally, Akito is a snake and it is pretty clear that he likes to tease, prod and manipulate out of amusement.

I think that I have the most problems with Haruma he is quite insufferable, an entitled guy who thinks that he can bang on walls and even break them because he got upset. Kind of surprised that Akito didn't call the cops after it was his wall that was kicked in, which I guess must be some part that is weirder after should be disgusted over Haruma being placated.

Rinko struggling with her love for anime now and in the past made for a decent segment. The whiny Harume getting complimented for a long time and acting like an entitled pos again not so much. Akito I am still unsure about though I am a bit curious as to what he actually does work wise.

I guess one more episode before deciding to keep or dump?

Likely my last comment here until the final episode since there is not much to discuss. I am sticking with the show because I am a sucker for the ''enjoy whatever you want to enjoy'' message. Most of the characters are still annoying though (the 3 new ones are decent thus far).

I have to grit my teeth at the liberties that both these jack-offs take with our cutie-patootie heroine, but I like her so much I'm hanging around.

Episode 7

Okay, this episode made me feel surprisingly sad and emotional for Rinko. And it was all done without her actually showing sadness, but actually "cheering" for anime and cake. She was being neglect by her mum, who for some reason would leave her out of family outings (on Christmas), and treating it like a reward that she gets to watch all the anime and a cake to and by herself. That's sad.

At the very least the guys were able to make it so she wasn't alone again.

Also, I for some reason thought she quit her job, but worked in this episode in apparently being called in for something on Christmas eve.

Also, is this only the second time we have seen those random trio that are not able to afford food? I only remember them showing up at the start of that one episode, and then now at some sort of writer Christmas party.
