With both the Ultraman mentions and the inherent fetishistic aspect, I'm a bit surprised there was no mention of the What if Ultraman But Also Porn Actress? that is Hiroya Oku's Gigant (I guess the anime was only just announced last month). Or Jungle de Ikou for that matter, that one had an, ahem, outsized presence back in the day.
Also, between Simoun last week and now Valkyrie Drive, it feels like someone's been snooping my Google Sheets, as those are the next two shows in my backlog queue. :p |

I realize few are watching The Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch, running currently, but it does feature a fairly adorable side character who can become a giantess.

Since it's a very recent title, I'm surprised no mention was made of Chained Soldier, since one of its core members can take on giant(ess) form.
And wasn't there a giantess or two in the original Macross? Or were only male Zentreadi shown in giant form? (Been a long time since I've watched it.) |

Lap Lamiz was shown at full size, while the famous scene in Do You Remember Love ends with the reveal of Milia’s face. That said it was the sequels that got more confident showing full size Meltrans next to humans. It’s gotten more common as time has gone on, hasn’t it? |

I remember this one series where these 3 girls get ultraman style powers to turn into giant heroes but as their power runs out there clothes gradually disappear with them getting stronger the more embarrassed they get. I do not remember the name but it was pretty wild.

Man, that Giganta is such a downgrade form the DCAU version.
Diane is the only giantess I really like. Not into it as a fetish myself but she's cute. |

I read through the article hoping to see Macross brought up, but I suppose this point might help explain why it wasn't. (Of course, the sequels might have be easier to bring up right now given they're at least streaming on Disney+...) |

A little disappointed Dione Nephilim from Monster Girl Doctor wasn't mentioned.

A small shout out to another One piece giant character although she's technically a mermaid, Princess Shirahoshi.
There's also a giant girl in the Nurse Hitomi's Monster Infirmary manga series but the for the life of me I can't remember her name and I can't find anything online at the moment and I'm away from my 13 volumes of the manga. Sad that the monster girl/boy anime fad only lasted like a year and a half. That would have been a fun adaption. |

Disappointed not to see the giant women of the Macross franchise: Milia and Lap Lamiz from the original series, Emilia Jenius from the Macross 7 movie, or Klan Klang, Raramia Rerenia, and Nene Rora from Macross Frontier being mentioned in the article.[/b]

Week late here, but never thought I'd see an entire column dedicated to giantesses in anime here, but as someone who has long been into that thing, I approve. Worth noting there's Gigant and Gigant Ojou-sama getting anime, and it won't be more like Ragnastrike Angels or Ultimate Girls where it's super short. Finally, something full-length.
Worth noting there's a subreddit called r/GiantAnimeGirls, and there was an entire YouTube channel dedicated to featuring giantess content, one video was about Seven Deadly Sins, but only when Diane was on screen and looked huge, the video was like 47 minutes. This shows how dedicated those in the GTS community can be. There's also a website that tracks where giantesses have appeared in animation and video games. Speaking of video games, shoutout to the Japan and PAL region exclusive, Demolition Girl (Simple 2000 Series Vol. 50: The Daibijin), which got a video review from Classic Game Room back in the day.
