I wonder if that means he is done with SAO Alternative: Gun Gale Online as he was very consistent with his releases (about 1 a year) but has not released one since 2024.
I hope not but I remember people saying he was stuck as Unital Ring event. The last book ended on September/27/2026 hours away from the event. I hope he continues it but if he doesn’t i will be sad it did get a conclusion but that is how it goes sometimes. |

Looking at his GGO LN output since the anime S2 it seems like he has stuck to Squad Jam variants, so maybe it is time to lay it aside and try a new story. I'm a little excited to see what he does with the premise but I'm afraid it sounds a little derivative,...

Huh, interesting. I wonder why a manga specifically. It's not like he can't write the story as a light novel. Was he approached by the publisher? Or maybe he just wanted to try his hand at a different form of storytelling?
