I have seen most of Inuyasha but I am confused
spoiler[ I thought I remembered seeing Sesshomaru saying that he despised and hated humans. Wasnt one of the reasons Sesshomaru hates Inuyasha is that he is a only a half demon? I saw the episode where Sesshomaru was healing after loosing his arm and Rin found him and brought Sesshomaru food and waited on him. Then she was killed IIRC by Koga's wolves. When Sesshomaru saw Rins body lying dead in the road he seemed to show regret at her death and used Tetsuaiga's twin to ressurect the girl and he now allows her to travel with him and keep him company. And as far as I can tell he doesnt seem to treat her bad and seems concerned for her safety. What am I missing here? Isnt it out of character for Sesshomaru to show compassion for a human girl, and on top of that let her travel with him? ] What happened to cause him to change? |

spoiler[She was nice to him, even after he made it clear that he didn't want her around and bringing him water while he was hurt.] I think it gives him more depth since it shows some personal growth in him.

Yeah, I think it shows some good character development when spoiler[Sesshomaru ressurects Rin. I also thinks it goes to show how smart their father was to give Sesshomaru the Tenseiga. He knew that Sesshomaru wasn't heartless, and by reviving Rin, showed that his heart had softened a bit and he's on his way to becoming a great demon like his father.
Also, If you notice, Sesshomaru never actually kills Inuyasha, even when he has a chance. It's like he's gauging him or something. I think Sesshomaru is jealous that Inuyasha is a half-demon because Inuyasha can feel emotions towards humans and like humans that Sesshomaru can't. And that's why Sesshomaru despises Inuyasha, for being able to do something that he can't.] So, anyway, I don't think it's "out of character, per sey, but more "character realization." (for lack of a better term) |
