it's probably a matter of 'when', rather than 'if'. however, until a company announces that they've licensed the title, there is no expected date. usually if a title is announced, it takes between 9 and 12 months before it's released. the next big licensing announcements will probably occur in january, march and april.. so late 2004/early 2005 at the earliest, assuming it's been put on high priority. odds are reasonable, however, that it won't be announced until the summer, and even then it won't be too big a deal.. so i'd anticipate mid-2005, or later. asking questions like this really doesn't interest most people; if it hasn't been licensed AND announced, there simply is no solid way to predict what's going to happen to it. For what it's worth, licenses are oftentimes completed long before they're announced. The reason for holding off on announcing them is because if they announce a title too far in advance, the hype goes away when it's time to actually put it on the streets (... like Kare Kano), which damages its potential sales. The question is... does it hurt more to announce a title early and take (comparatively) longer to put it out in stores? or to let fansubs continue to be distributed until it's the proper "marketting time" to announce it? |

Thats a long time. asking questions like this really doesn't interest most people; if it hasn't been licensed AND announced, there simply is no solid way to predict what's going to happen to it. Ok I wont ask questions like this.
