I personally have loved the dub for Shin-chan, but I only know of one other person that likes it. Other people either dislike it for the animation, highly dislike it because they think it's "retarded", think a combination of the previous two, or extremely dislike it because they're purists that can't handle a few cultural joke changes to fit in it's new market.

Good to see Canadians are getting it now, though. More people to either enjoy or hate it!

I don't mind different cultural jokes ... I just wish they weren't all so American and, worst of all, already so dated ... e.g. a reference to 'Brokeback Mountain.' This dub is fine but doesn't have much shelf life ....
