aside from meme's people really have a stick up their a** when it comes to this stuff recently.. however i prefer to play it safe and ddl the stuff then take a huge chance like that. Hell I am even afraid to import kodomo no jikan even though it's a shoujo manga |

sigh...Canada, George Orwell's books are just novel,fictional stories about thought police hellholes that should never exist, NOT a bloody guideline!!!
The world always pokes fun at America's laughably extreme anti-sex sentiments(rightly so), but all the while people ignore Canada when it's even WORSE than the States. And people always claim that Canada is more liberal than the States. 
As for the manga giveaways....wouldn't it be cooler if they gave away the mangas that got all the men they helped in the past arrested? I might not be into all of them...but I'd certainly love to know what they were. |

I have a feeling they are hentai, so its not like they can just hand out that kind of material when a lot of the people there are under the age of 18. HOTD is close enough anyways lol. |

Stupid nonsensical laws....also...I really wish someone, the defence funds or the courts, would atleast release the materials and the pages within for public to see. I will cough out a lung if it's just plain vanilla sex with an a-cup character.... |

Wait..does that mean Canadians also go to jail for dating asian women? OK in all seriousness while I can fully understand peoples concern over the importation & localization of cartoon pornography & pornography in general (heck Im failry anti-porn myself at times), I gotta say the increasing amount of cases like this is disturbing, yes some people may be more perverted then they should be, but unless they actually hurt an actual child/woman/etc, there is really no reason to send them to prision. Heck just pull a scarlet Letter on em & make em were a shirt that says "I'M A PERVERT" or somesuch. |

If they're not posing a threat to themself or others, and they're contributing positively to society (or at least not contributing negatively), I say THE REST IS THEIR BUSINESS, PEOPLE. And so much art, especially stylized types like those that dominate the comic books culture, is far too subjective to be properly regulated by this sort of thing. What looks like a child to one person may not to another, just as one character may look like a boy to person A whereas person B will attest, "That's a boy!" |

Isn't Australia the country that banned all porn featuring women of any age (be it 18 or 48) with small breasts because only pedophiles would be interested in that sort of thing?
