When you say Samurai X... do you mean the Rurouni Kenshin OVAs released by ADV as "Samurai X"... or do you mean the Rurouni Kenshin TV series?
Here's a site that's got a decent tracklisting of the various Kenshin OSTs: http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Flats/1055/KenMusic.html Here's a site with a decent listing of the various theme songs (OP and END) and what episodes they're in: http://www.geocities.com/kenshinguide/music.htm A little Google searching on your own can go a long way ^^;; |

ED: "The Will" by Taku Iwasaki
Don't know the opening. Oh yeah two things: 1) You can check this kind of info about an anime in the encyclopedia. thehttp://animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/index.php 2) There's a music forum for future music questions |

There is no opening theme for the OVAs. The movie's opening is "Niji" by L'Arc~En~Ciel, though, with the ending being "Towa no Mirai" by Animetal.

For clarification, you're talking about Rurouni Kenshin, not Samurai X.
If you go to the Rurouni Kenshin encyclopedia page, you'll see that there are only 3 opening songs. All the opening and ending songs for Rurouni Kenshin are listed. The "Samurai X" title ONLY refers to the OAVs and the movie. *sorry, noticed that Tony K. just posted an answer to this...* |

Really? I'm a big Kenshin fan so i've been to a lot of sites from other places around the world, but I've never heard of it being called by another name. So what is it called in your country? |

in my country the name of the series is "samurai x".. that's why. i called that way. just the people who search more about kenshin.. (in here).. know that the real name is ruruoni kenshin. and even then... the people doesn't know wht rurouni means.. the just guess... only the fans knows that kind of stuff. |

There's an "international" dub that came out a few years ago, I'm pretty sure before the ADV and Media Blasters dubs (or maybe roughly the same time), though I forget who did it (FOX?) Anyway they use the Samurai X name. I've heard it's pretty bad and heavily edited, but i don't know for sure. Emerje |

If I'm not mistaken, that international dub Emerje is talking about came from Sony.

The Kenshin Oav soundtrack is amazing. It doesn't have any vocal jpop/jrock tracks, only instrumentals but it fits the darker, more serious tone of the Oav so well...
