I was at Suncoast today and noticed there are quite a few Lupin movies. I really like the show, what are some of the better movies. Thanks.

The only Lupin movie I've seen is Castle of Cagliostro, which was actually directed by Hayao Miyazaki or Spirited Away fame. It was extremely good, and many people consider it to be not only the best of the Lupin movies, but one of the better movies in anime, period.

So, yeah, fully recommended. Very Happy

I just watched Castle Of Cagliostro for the first time, and wow...that was just a really good movie. It wasn't anything jaw dropping or the most spectacular spectacle ever seen, but it was really, really good. I was actually going to make an entire thread about it, but this will suffice.

Lupin fan here. Dont know if all of these are necessarily on DVD but along with Castle, I've also seen movies:
Lupin III:Nostradomus must die
Lupin III:Legend of the gold babylon
Lupin III:Dark order of assasination

They are fairly old and the quality isnt as good as Castle, but I'd say they are worth a look. Nostradomus is a personal fav though. Enjoy

Wink

The two I've seen are Secret of Mamo (excellent popcorn flick) and Castle of Cagliostro (One of the best anime movies I've ever seen). I'm eager to see Dead or Alive, but have heard that Gold of Babylon is missable.

I also recommend the Fuma Conspiracy. There is also the Tower of Gold Babylon which I did not particularly like, the animation was very bad IMO. My favorite of the movies would definitely be, Castle Of Cagliostro... especially since he really is such a kind hearted hero. spoiler[Though I personally wish he stayed with the princess in the end and nurtured their love. I know why it didn't happy but I still would've like it to happen.]
