June 28 was the last time they aired an episode. It's been like 4 weeks. I'm pretty sure it's not a big deal or anything, but do you think they gave up on the show or are they dubbing more episodes in secret?

I think they probably gave up especially because all the hype of the game is over. dvds will probably come out and that will be that.

Knowing Viz, they probably dropped the series because Blue Dragon isn't as big as Naruto, Bleach or Death Note, three other best sellers for Viz. I never really watched Blue Dragon, but that fact that Viz isn't giving some series a chance is rather silly. I remember when Viz had other anime that sold well, and some that didn't. Ranma 1/2 was once a bestseller of Viz. Fatal Fury I'm not to sure how it did, but the entire series was released. Even Corrector Yui, which was not at all successful, but they released the whole series.

Oh, it's still on, they just moved it to a different timeslot. It was never really intended to be a Toonami show actually- it was meant for the Saturday morning lineup, and the Toonami airings were either promotion, or time filler, or some combination of both. You can see it on Jetstream if the time's not convenient.

Huh... actually, I can't seem to find it on the schedule. It might actually be Sunday mornings. But it is still on Jetstream, regardless.

my theory is,probully either Viz is taking they're time to dub more episodes,or they're working on uncut dvds,it's probully going the same route as Onepiece, also, don't forget that Naruto is toonami's number 1 hit at the moment, with Toonami's lineup consisting of an hour of Naruto,Ben10 alien force and Samurai Jack,I highly doubt it'll return to toonami.

Exactly. It's still on Jetstream, therefore there are still episodes coming out, therefore Viz hasn't given up on it. Q.E.D.

I think you're correct concerning the game. Despite pretty good reviews it didn't take off like Microsoft hoped/wanted and it's obviously affected the anime. There's also the fact that the anime premiered 7 months after the game and was pretty forgotten by then. Razz

Yeah it's not like the anime was the greatest thing ever either. It was very so-so and besides the same character design as DBZ I doubt many viewers would recognize it or be interested by it.

True, since DB character designs are the most trite art we've ever seen. All well, so it's back to Jetstream again -_- *sigh*

Actually I have yet to read a good review of Blue Dragon. All the reviews I read indicated it was a pretty mediocre game. I wish I had read those before I bought the game and waisted $50.
